  Re: play on

(...) Maybe it should be called "yay," because it's kind of yellowish? Well, at least that's what I think when I get a whole bunch of it. But yeah, the word "bley" just makes me think of Calum's Comic Book Guy reference, and I dislike the snarkiness (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Yes, the hue change from light grey to light bley was a lot smaller. But I understand why they couldn't leave it alone if they were set on changing the dark grey. Light grey and dark bley do not match. (...) OK, my use of the word "nothing" (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Slightly OT: Think the color change is bad? Try dealing with Check Card fraud!

(...) The simplest way around stuff like this is to always do it by phone, and only using numbers that you get from the phone book. It's a lot easier to fake an e-mail address than it is to have a fake phone number set up in the white pages, and any (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Slightly OT: Think the color change is bad? Try dealing with Check Card fraud!

Hey all, While I'm not pleased with the color change and still can't decide whether to buy new sets or just get a job at my local toy consignment shop (so I can skim off and hoard all the originals!), I had something happen today that threw things (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.color)

I like it - thanks Todd, for the cheer! And to those who would rather we get over the color issue... get over the fact that it is not something a lot of us are going to get over easily, or maybe even ever. It cut deep and it hurt. You obviously (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.color) !

Can't we all just move on? I remember a time when people complained about BURPs, LURPs, and the like. Somehow we got beyond that (and they're now selling for about $1 to $7 each on Bricklink, so someone must like them). Jeff (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)
