That's an outstanding design, Brad.  Good work.

I've X-posted this to lego.direct, because I think it makes a point
relevant to Lego Direct:

Wow. *THIS* is the sort of thing we want to be able to do.  Sure, it's
a pipe dream to be able to order such zany parts, but if we *could*
order 100 dark gray inverse arches, 50 2x1 arched window inserts,
hundreds of 2x2 round bricks, there'd be no stopping us!

Having some plates and bricks available is nice, but we need tiny
tiles and big plates; arches and slopes and inverses; teal and purple
and tan and brown and, and, and...:D

You know, when the "Adventurers" display came to the Royal Ontario
Museum in Toronto, I went to watch the kids building the ziggurat
and see the other sculptures.  They had a stand-up sarcophagus you
climb into and get your picture taken from the front.  The inside of
which used, I dunno, *thousands* of yellow 1x2x3 inverse slopes.

Gosh, it'd be nice if we could do that sort of thing.

Give us the bricks... :)

Don't take this post as a rant -- It's a *dream*. I still have every
hope that Lego Direct will come through with more... in the meantime,
I guess I'll order a statue of liberty, if they let us Canucks order
them (state secrets & all) :)

And I can't wait to be able to order 5,000 1x1 tiles in various colours.

Play Well!

I'm hoping that it is not a pipe dream to be able to order 2x2 rounds in the future! In fact, I'm counting on it so I can add proper columns to my currently "columnless" group of buildings (Brad: white 2x2s please). I agree with you - ordering (...)
