Got the warlord today....woohoo! (ok 6 or six of them)
I'll focus on the fig for the sake of brevity...
HEAD....same as the Black ninjas. I have 100+ of these but they do deserve
to see the light of day. This head adds a little variety to my standard
helmet legions. Disappointing that they didn't come up with a new head iage
though...from a distance it looks a little too much like the witch = (
TORSO....very cool...basically a red variant of the torso design of the
shogun. I am excited about this because it fits into my plans and I figured
they were going to have the standard red oss w/ green vest design.
ARMOR...Black variant of the dark gray Samurai/shogun armor. I like this
piece in black. It's not available in any retail set/pack, which is
unfortunate. Nw that the Ninja theme is discontinued, it's unlikely it will
reappear quickly(unless in new Castle or Future SW). I hope that someday
there will be an opportunity to get these in bulk. It's too expensive at
the mini-heroes price.
ACCESSORIES...disappointing...a brown pirate pistol, white islander
horns...not even a Sword. I think TLG could have thrown in a couple of figs
or a katana.
OVERALL RATING: 6 out of 10 (great torso and armor color
change...otherwise nothing special)
I foster a hope that TLG will someday return to this theme or come out w/
some retail polybags w/ new/varied parts and colors.(that I can get on
discount through retailers)
