Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Jeff Johnston
A lot of people use the SW sets to augment their Castle stuff - and I, of course, do the same. I was curious what people thought the *best* SW set was, not as a SW set, but as a purchase for your Castle stuff. "Best" could be defined however you (...)      (...) 3x3x6 castle wall corner in brown. One obvious use is that if one gets so many 1/2 octagon pieces that one is at a total loss as to how to use them is that one can slightly increase the height of a tree or two (of course it only takes 18 sets (...)      (...) Thanks for posting this - I was not aware of the tree trunk piece. They finally ran out of the Dark Forest Fortress locally, and I can always use some peasant-types. Bruce (24 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Jeff Johnston
(...) Just to clarify: there's *not* a 'tree trunk' piece in the Desert Skiff. The piece I was referring to is a brown 6x3 half-octagon plate. Two of them together form an octagon the same size as the octagons formed by four of the quarter-octagon (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Christopher Lindsey
(...) Man, no kidding! I had always passed this set by thinking that it had too many specialized pieces, but on your recommendation I went and picked up two at K-Mart tonight. Great elements and 'figs! Chris (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Bryan Wong
(...) But how about a suggestion for that big brown piece at the front of the skiff? :) I don't want to be stuck with 5 of those. Bryan (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Chris Phillips
(...) I've purchased several "B-Wing at Rebel Base" sets (set number???) to augment my Castle parts. I don't have the specifics in front of me, but for about $30 you get somewhere around 330 pieces, including: (if my memory serves me correctly) + (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) [mondo-snippage] Hmmm...compelling. But I think the jury's still "out" for my purposes, because I just got a 7184 MTT, and it's got a lot of very Castle-useable pieces, IMHO. Lots of dark grey and **brown** large plates (4x12s of the latter), (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best SW set for Castle purposes? —Bianca Nebab
Are those pieces in the MTT parts picture that look like shades of blue really tan rather than light gray? Are there any light gray pieces in there? Using Jeff's original definition of "best" (best price for the most useful parts--cheapskate that I (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)
