  Re: (CW) Realm Scale

(...) I think that every time I ask a question I get more confused. I'm just ging to keep going with what I'm doing and figure out how to fit it in later. Or if it doesn't, oh well. J (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Map Scale, Realms, etc.

It sounds like a lot of people are really confused by the whole 'realms' and map sections thing. I've got a suggestion, and I think that it will make stuff a lot easier - and I hope it will make people happy. To do this I have to question a basic (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Realm Size, CW Map Guide (beta 2)

Check this idea out. I think I have figured out a whole new set of measurements for CW. Castle World Maps: Key and Standards (beta 2 version): Scales: Global: 1 stud = 1024 Ks = 1 Ms (32x32x32x32) = 297.83 miles/stud, 1 plate thickness = 10 Kp (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW] Pawel and Craig - please clear up this confusion!

(...) I'm sure you are, Jason! Craig and Pawel are working 24, 7 (well, almost) and I know it's gonna work out great! Even if we get some rocky points, I'm 100% assured that it's only because we're heading toward a mountain, and that eventually (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: thanks, todd!

(...) I was wondering when this would come! Thanks, Todd! (...) Yeah, this is an exciting time! I hope that in three years, CW will thrive at least half as much as lugnet had since it began! (And we'll get the credit for designing it! To think, I (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: (CW) Realm Scale

(...) I think what Craig means by "sets" are little backdrops for a scene. (As he mentioned, like Pawel's forest in his Chp. 1) He means that to make a scene in a forest, you don't have to make the whole forest! And even the small forest could count (...)   Re: (CW) Realm Scale

(...) PMFJI. Is it necessary that the 'populated' area of a realm fill the entire "square" of the layout? If you assume the baseplate'd region is only a part of the entire square, then people will have plenty of room for expansion. Steve (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) If you sail due East, you will eventually find the edge of the world. Bring plenty of provisions. Watch out for a talking mouse with a sword. Steve (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW] Pawel and Craig - please clear up this confusion!

(...) Nonsense! There's always more to discover! Farther up and further in, sons of Adam and daughters of Eve! J, who remembers those books quite fondly (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW] Pawel and Craig - please clear up this confusion!

  Franklin's critters (made easier...)

Some time ago, I posted some "critter" designs in LDraw format: some "barnyard" critters (chicken, goose, pig, cow, ox, and bull), and some wizard-bait critters (newt [1], frog, and toad [2]). Now that Brickshelf.Com has a Gallery feature (thanks, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Franklin's critters (made easier...)

(...) LDraw and LDLite output images look best as gifs. Could you convert them, please? Anyway, They're great designs! Too bad most are unbuildable in their appropriate colors. :( Jeff "You can't be a hero hiding underneath your bed" (URL) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Franklin's critters (made easier...)

(...) The duck would work with black feet. I don't think I've ever seen a duck with really yellow feet anyway. Timbo (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Franklin's critters (made easier...)

These are SOOO cute! I'll be sure to add these excellent designs to my farms, as soon as I find those green flippers and pink video cameras... :-) I don't have access to LDraw so these are really a nice surprise! Great job! -Shiri (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Franklin's critters (made easier...)

(...) Real pigs are often shades of white, black and brown. I think I am going to try to make a wild boar in black and brown. The cows could be black and white too. A blue frog would be close, as there are blue frogs, but not ones that big. Timbo (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Centaurs, Satires, Minotaur and the like...

Hi, Anyone ever try to make one of these - Centaur, Stire, Minotaur, Sphinx, or other half-man, half-creature type of thing? Other than Tim Coats, I haven't seen any of these mythical creatures. My first thought, after "Hmm, Centaur..." was, 'Oh, no (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)
