I played a bit with body and have produced a latest version.
folder
Version 3: Latest
differences include:
- grey under belly
- wings
- new, improved hands
- cool horns
- red eye instead of trans-red
things that need development:
- legs
- body shape - head seems out of proportion with the body
here is also an interim (v2) version:
problems with the v2:
- tail and neck were too long, creating problems in balancing
- also made it look sluggish
- cone horns looked dumb
feedback or suggestions are totally welcome (especially from the mech peeps)
- and keep in note that hell be making the trip with my to BF, so
suggestions can also be made there.

Hey Lenny, your dragon is coming along nicely. Green is always a good choice
for lizardy, reptillian things. And the accent colors were a good choice too,
at least I think so.
Here are a few suggestions if youd care to read them:
- Widen the body by 2 or 3 studs.
I cant quite tell (the folder is pre-mod right now) but if the body width has
been decided by plate width, I fully understand how it came to be this way.
However, I would move your slopes out two or three studs, placing a few basic
bricks between them. I love to build my creatures with an odd number of studs
for several reasons, but for dragons, there is just but one good one - Spines.
Dorsal spines always look good on these types of creatures, and with an odd
numbered body, it makes it easier to have the spines symmetrically centered on
the body without having to use too many parts or have too thick of a spine.
- Widen both the arms and legs by one stud.
You wouldnt even need extra click hinges, all youd need to do is lash on
bricks of the same basic length of the hinge bricks. In joints such as the
elbow, of course, youd need to shorten the inside bricks by one stud to allow
for full joint movement. However, you could also extend the outer bricks by one
to counteract the effect of the joint looking too thin.
Id also add more plates, even if they were light grey to match the click
hinges, to add more definition to the arms and legs. Placing these shaping
plates under the existing green plates wouldnt change the overall look of
your dragon too much, Id think.
I think I would also either enlarge the feet, or add another set of joints to
the legs so that the feet themselves would be the dragons toes, as in the
same style of a dog or cat has.
- Do... Something.. With the wings.
Im sorry to say the wings look far too small to hold this creature aloft,
unless theyre vestigial wings ;) I have three suggestions that I can come up
with right now. I would either bulk up the wings, parts permitting, remove the
wings entirely and use the click hinge flaps as dorsal spines, or combine the
arms and wings, by attachging the feathers to the arms.
- Move the bottom jaw forward.
I dont know, maybe youre not going for a mean look, but with the overbite
this critter has, it looks almost cute. But then again, the folder is pre mod,
so I may be working on a poor amount of info.
But, these are all just my humble suggestions. Do with them as you please.
All in all I like what youve done. I can tell youve been keeping a strong eye
on form and function together. Please dont look upon all my suggestions as
harsh criticism, cause I really do like what youve done.
