Well I already returned Sunday night from Berlin, but needed some time to
catch up on sleep, sort out the stuff again and upload the pictures but
its all done now...

Take note of the following WONDERFUL train MOCs:
- The huge railwaystation from Reiner
- The big Santa Fe train cars (By Bruno aka LEGOCastle)
- Frank Abels Umbauwagons with German BR10 engine, and his German BR98
Glaskasten engine and last but not least his Rheingold train
- All the wonderful trains of Holger Matthes and Dirk Meier
And much more.... both train related and other themes.
The event was in true German style (Berliner Kindl was available in HUGE
quantities :D ), organized VERY well (hats off to Axel and Rene) and the
crowd was very enthousiastic and interested.
LEGO was present as well, with no less than 6 employees. Also my thanks to
Kate, Claudia, Christina, Veronika, Tormod and Alex for answering all our
questions so patiently and for your company. The building contests were a
joy to watch and the models LEGO placed were simply wonderful.
Last, the event was a blast and I enjoyed meeting loads of wonderful people
there, it was like nothing Ive experienced so far. Cant wait for 2004 !

Thanks Jan-Albert!
You have been faster than me once again.... I wanted to do a Lugnet posting this
evening, but now I see you have already told nearly everything we have seen at
the 1000steine-Land 2003 in Berlin.
Maybe I should add a few more data for the statistics?
The main layout has had an table area of more than 50 m² (= nearly 800 32x32
baseplates!!). The main table contained themes from train (6-w, 7-w, 8-w,
monorail) town, village, port, castle (3x), football, pirates....
The side tables with huge space crafts (a must have seen!), Model Team (El
Carachos cool collection), small train layout etc have had 30m². All these
tables have been filled completely with LEGO® stuff. Nowhere was any table
surface to be seen.
We have had over 1800 paying guests at the show, there was a building school for
kids, a second kids play area (maintained by TLC), lots of further rooms for
traders and sellers of used LEGO® bricks and sets.
Check
out this link, to find out about all galleries and lots of feedback (in German)
by visitors and FGLTC members.
THANKS to all who worked for the success of the 1000steine-Land. It has been the
most impressing LEGO®-Show I have ever seen! Special thanks to the TLC Crew, to
René from 1000steine.de and Axel from 1000anleitungen.de!
Kind Regards,
