Thanks Andrew. The claws are the light blue parrots that come in Bellville
set 5857 Safran's Amazing Bazaar. Actually you only get one! Luckily
there's a number of other worthwhile pieces in there (although it's still a
bit pricey, but not so pricey that Brinklink could have come to my rescue).
As for the Green dragon versus the Blue one, it's hard to say. I learned a
few things after finishing the Green dragon, plus I had a number of "I wish
I could do xxx in green" that I was able to do in blue. The availablity of
parts in a particular color are so key when it comes to the end results.
It's funny, I built them "backwards" from each other, meaning I started with
the head for the Green dragon and then figured out the body, tail, legs,
arms and then the wings. With the blue dragon, I started with the spine and
tail, filled in his body a bit, then the arms, legs, his head and finally
the wings. The Green dragon has more graceful curves, but the Blue Dragon
always seems to turn out more "life-like" due to his articulation. Also, I
think the single strongest feature of both dragons that lends to their
presence, which isn't obvious (I don't think), is the curve of their spines.
While they both have a similar result in this respect, it was done a
different way for each dragon.
Lastly, regarding your comment about the Blue dragon being more
griffin-like, when I showed him to Shaun Sullivan, he had the same comment.

Thanks for the critique!
