That is the most refreshing thing I have seen around here in some time!
Great job Lenny.  Can't wait to see what happens next.

Thanks!

As for the process you mentioned, I'd love to try it, but it takes longer
than a week for me to deal with photography and scanning.  May God or Fate
please send unto me a nice digital camera and may it have a tripod and
bountiful amounts of lighting devices and all manner of good things!  :)

The camera I use is a ~$200 dollar HP digital camera:

truly the way to go.  it cuts down time it takes to do this by yards and yards.
My wife split it with me.  Oh yeah, and re-chargable batteries are a MUST!  I
go through a four pack each time I sit down to photograph.

As for light, tho, I use like a $15 dollar lamp with a 200 watt bulb with a 100
watt bulb in the ceiling as a filler.  All in all its pretty inexpensive (aside
from the camera) to do it all.

I don't even use a tripod (evidence in the sometimes blurry close-ups), but
they aren't more than $20 at Wal-Mart.  I already have one because i also do
fine art photography, but that's a different story.

Oh yeah, and I use a version of Photoshop for playing with the images. But,
uhh.. that wasn;t too expensive for me.

Hope this info helps.  It really isn't too difficult to do and I'd love to see
other people's work!

-Lenny

(...) I know this is getting off topic, so if anyone replies, feel free to FUT it elsewhere... I actually would enjoy doing an epic length series of comic-style stories like this. With my recent rebudgeting, I might be able to save over most of the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)
