  A Gatehouse

There is a great vibe going on in .castle at the moment and it's nice to see some of the old faces (well err... names) appearing again. Before we get inundated with a slew of quality marketplace creations, inspired by recent threads, here's a little (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc) !

  Re: A Gatehouse

(...) Hi James, As usual your model is excellent. Your use of stalls and the tudor styled walls from the Guarded Inn Look Great. I prefer the Rounded top or Sqaure Nnja styled doors for my gates, but that is neither here nor there. Are you planning (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A Gatehouse

(...) Hey, great model! I particularly like the style in which it was built, not thay annoying SNOT style which generally gets a bit old quickly. Anyway, the use of guarded inn parts was great too, we could sure use some more eighties styled (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A Gatehouse

Hello! That's a nice gatehouse you've built there! It looks very compact and solid (hm, "trutzig" in German. Dunno how to translate.) I especially like its asymmetry, so it looks pretty realistic. Me too like also the way you fitted the building (...) (22 years ago, 30-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: A Gatehouse

(...) Looks really good. I like the details around the gate itself. I had never seen that Lion head piece in Dk grey before, I had to go check out Peeron to see if you had painted a tan one or what. Very unique to use those dock pieces in a castle (...) (22 years ago, 30-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

I really like the use of the raised road peices in your gatehouse. The cart with barrels is nice also. It looks like a good gate house for a town or a roman fort. Ben (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.castle)
