Anthony,
First of all, let me say that I'm really glad you're illustrating the whole
chronicle. I need to catch up on my reading, but it's nice having all the
pieces (I confess I was one of those who skipped right over the
unillustrated bits). Illustrated lego stories were actually the reason I
joined lugnet.
As to the origin of the word Ikros: I did a bit of digging, and came up
with very little. Here are some amusinging quotes from web pages I found.
I enclosed Ikros in *** *** to make it easier to find.
"Design of a waste management plan for the Republic Slovenia ***(IKROS)***
in co-operation with IEI, Maribor"
http://216.239.39.100/search?q=cache:kEpgClZC-0IC:www.gua.at/texts/references/references_en_1991.pdf+ikros&hl=en&ie=UTF8
"One of Duo Damsel's bodies develops its own identity as Lelith, falling in
love with Nam'Lor of ***Ikros***. Nam'Lor's hyper-aura causes Lelith to
become evil. He eventually leaves and she returns to normal."
http://www2.bitstream.net/~myke4/legion/pre_zero/pre-chron4.html
"Kitas nesudėtingas, bet skanus ir gražiau atrodantis patiekalas -
blyneliai su lašiša. Tereikia bulvių, trupučio
kvietinių miltų, kiaušinio baltymų, pipirų,
druskos, šlakelio grietinėlės, mažo gabalėlio
lašišos, šaukštelio juodosios ***ikros***."

This last one is lithuanian. I did a follow-up search which returned a
handfull of lithuanian pages that also contain the word "ikros," but i
couldn't readily deduce its meaning from any of them (i don't know
lithuanian). I tried a couple online lithuanian dictionaries, but ikros
wasn't listed. The closest thing i found was "ikrai," meaning caviar, so
it's possible that ikros is a declined form of this noun. But that's just a
guess.
Finally, I tried actually searching in greek, using the following 6 variant
spellings (and the last two were a bit of a stretch):
Ικρος
Ικρως
Εκρος
Εκρως
Ηκρος
Ηκρως
Nothing. No hits for any of them. So, while it certainly sounds like a
greek word, I'm fairly certain it isn't actually one.
So, I think you may or may not have heard something like it before, but
mostly I would guess that you just made it up.
Unless... perhaps this is all part of some sadistic game you're playing with
us. Perhaps Ikros is a fiendish clue you are dangling in front of our eyes.
You may have fooled the rest of them, Mr. Sava, but I'm on to you now. I
see now the surprise twist at the end of the story: Ulmerad will run off
with Duo Damsel to live a life of luxury, eating lithuanian caviar in his
secrett fortress near a Slovenian waste-management plant. Pretty obvious,
I'd say!

| (...) Thanks, I am too. It really bothered me that people new to my website were greeted by very few illustrated chapters as they went into my story, especially the first chapter. As for your question, well, to be honest I don't know what Ikros is, (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)
