Dan,

Nice to see another big scale castle MOC. The keep looks very solid and I
see you have found some way to make individual cross shaped arrow slits,
very nice! Nice "fore-building" for the entrance I've forgotten what this is
called, and it's nice to see accurate details like the entrance on the first
floor instead of ground floor.

If you are looking for a historically accurate design, you might want to
reconsider a few things though. If you are aiming for a 10th or 11th century
Norman look, you might want to get rid of the machicolations, I don't
believe they were widely introduced at the tops of walls until a little
later. The roof could also be redesigned, and perhaps the chimney might be
incorporated into the wall itself.

Looking forward to seeing the final design!

cheers

Magnus

The exterior looks cool, though the blue roof seems a repetition of the Blackmith shop roof. I look forward to the interior of the kkep! Jackie (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-02, to lugnet.castle)
