Very cool, Chris!  The whole setup has a compactness that makes it look like
a typical, small medieval village.  There's not too much going on, so it
looks very peaceful.  The buildings look great, and the landscaping is
fantastic.  The little details, like the 3-leaf plants placed randomly
around the scene, make it immensly more fun to look at.

Hey, thanks Wilson.  Actually the "compactness" of it is just my excuse at a
lack of landscaping stuff (or, moreover, a lack of motivation to dig more of
it out :-)  I tried to make the whole thing organic.

Cool construction on the bell.

Thanks.  I only have two of the dk. grey macaroni bricks, so I need a couple
more to make the bell all one color.

two small merchant stands using HP roof-pieces

These are way cool!  They kind of remind me of the stands that the "carnies"
dwell in for the duration of a county fair.  I can almost here them calling:
"Come on, give it a try.  Everyone's a winner!"

Yep, that's what I had in mind...small merchants selling out of a tent type
stuff.  I can also see this at some fair or carnival.  This is one SPUD that
I hope gets released in multiple colors.

a sort of experimental path leading away from the tan and black house (I
particularly want to know what you all think about this...does it look like
an actual beaten path cutting through grass?)

Yes it does, you pulled it off very well.  It gives the impression that the
owners of the little house aren't too enthusiastic about their yardwork.  ;-)

Yeah, something like that.  Thanks for the compliments.  BTW, read through
your story, and loved it.  I can't wait to see what happens between Vincent
and Locke.

(...) Well, you did a good job of giving the "organic" feel. I agree with Wilson, the foliage on the ground gives the village a "living and breathing" touch. The bigger tree is very nice, and again, placing foliage at its foot gives it a realistic (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)
