  Re: Castle of Tolidar

(...) Elin..... I love it... soooo much detail.... and full of life....: ) I like how you've built it in sections too... very handy.... The only thing I can suggest about some of the pics.. is lighten them a little bit.... Looks great.. Kev...: ) (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle of Tolidar

(...) And wow, that's a lot of pictures! I like the way you have the main Tolidar page laid out, too. That makes it very easy to grasp the layout and how the different parts relate. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle of Tolidar

(...) Elin, wow. The castle is structurally great; *very* well laid out. I waded through all those pics, and still I want more. :-) Aside from the sheer size of it, you paid all the needed attention to the small details to make it all come together. (...)   Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

Hi there The other torso is from the western set #6765 "Gold City Junction". I've tried to create a list of parts/sets needed to recreate Jon Furman's excellent LotR Minifigs. This is what I got so far ... (Feel free to add missing info to this list (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle of Tolidar

All I have to say is: Wow! That is one nice castle! I love the style of it. Whimsical, but still very much what I would think a real castle would look like. I like how it can break into the nine different pieces. All together one great job! -Dave (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: War Strider, Fantsy Mecha

(...) The arms and ankles seem a bit skinny, however... like they'd break if another mecha whacked them. I don't recommend 1-wide limbs unless you're building something small. Overall a cool idea and execution. :^) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head -- (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle)

  Re: War Strider, Fantsy Mecha

Nice Mecha! I like the idea of the fantasy mecha and I think you've done well here. I wonder, is there some problem with the joints, all the pics look like it's bending over slightly. (In one picture it looks like your mecha is doing batting (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle)

  Castle of Tolidar

Hi everyone I have finally updated my webpage with all the pictures of Tolidar, the king's palace. There are both exterior and interior detail pictures. All together I think there are around 350 new pictures :) I have been working on this thing for (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc) !!

  Re: My Castle project

(...) Like it a lot, especially the blacksmith! Great city atmosphere (in a castle). Have been planning a similar layout for a while...really I have been... God Bless, Nathan (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

(...) I thought about the brass doorknob in the middle, and I think a round yellow dot covered by a clear yellow dot might work. Bruce (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

Thanks Bruce, I think that this will work, I don't know why I didn't consider it while I was building. I appreciate your help. Jon (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: War Strider, Fantsy Mecha

(...) I'm wondering, are you using a digital camera to take your photos, or are you scanning photographs? I've noticed with a lot of the pics of your mecha, the images are very yellow and dim, making it a difficult task to discern the detail. It (...)   Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

Tim, Thanks for the compliments! I really agonized over that door, I knew that the knob should go in the middle, but I had nothing to use for brass! When it finally came down to it I figured that I wanted to have the door look like it was several (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

The walls are very stable, but I did use colors other than green to achieve this. After I did the walls, I panelled the interior in Tan. This blocked off the White left side window, so the that window is only a facade. The green window however is in (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A Hobbit's Hole, Bag End

Thank you Magnus. I'd really like to buils a back wall, but I'm all out of green bricks. I'd probably like to make it bigger too. Oh well, Green slopes are hard to come by. I bought a lot of Slave 1 sets just for those. Thanks Jon (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Elf Wars and other ideas

I've never really gotten around to do much fantasy stuff, but I have created some elves using Ninja and Samurai heads with peasant and Ninja torsos, cowls, hoods, etc. In addition to the obvious bows, Katanas look good, as do cutlasses if you take (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Dwarven women make beautiful lovers

(...) Hey, perhaps there should be a new forum; Lugnet.poetry? Will there be upcoming lyrical odes to Elven women, female goblins and trolls and Giantesses? How about the Gungans, don't for get them. : ) Magnus (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)
