  Re: My Second MOC

Hi Cynthia! I saw this on BrickShelf and instantly thought it was beautiful. There are nice building designs in the structures and the stained glass windows are very cool and so are the hand panels. I also like the view out of the side window with (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Second MOC

Cynthia, I wasn't among the lucky Brickfest attendees who could see this in person, but I certainly remember poring over pics of this in various people's Brickfest photo galleries. Of course the thing that pops off the page is the great SNOT work in (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Second MOC

(...) I took that pic but you're welcome to use it. I remeber being completely captivated by the stained glass windows. I probably should have taken more pictures but I was busy helping to run LDraw.org's programs that I didn't get a chance to snap (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Second MOC

(...) I agree with Joe, it's depressing how much good stuff I missed, or only got to glance at... these pics fill in a lot of the details I didn't get to see at the time. I love stained glass, especially when used in non liturgical contexts... (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Second MOC

(...) A simply beautiful model, and one that really has to be seen in person to fully appreciate. I'm glad to see these pics because I was doing 'administrative duties' - running like a chicken without a head - during BrickFest. The front section (...) Anthony, This looks really good. I can't believe how cool the videos are either. Great work on your site. I continue to enjoy my visits. Jon (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Red Dragon

I'm not sure which I like better--the dragon or the skeleton he's gnawing on. Good job on both! (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Red Dragon

(...) Dave, I remember the story from BF 2003, and I was impressed with this dragon in person. I took pics, but they didn't come out very well. Thanks for posting these great photos. I really like this guy. He looks great and would fit well with a (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Creative and pretty, I'm sure he'll be inspiration for many more. I like the levers for spines on the back... but the best part of the pics is the use of props. "Here comes the Dragon! Roll out the Soup!" Tim (Smith) (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Stickers or Printing?

So, recently, someone bought me a copy of the KK2 castle wall: [LEGOSet 8799] But... it came with UNPRINTED shields and a small sticker sheet of the 5 shield designs for KK2. How awesome is that? My first copy of the set came with the normal printed (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Some new stuff...

Nice work Roy, and welcome back. It'll take me some time to absorb all these, but I'm enjoying my first glance at them. I quite like (URL) this one.> The octagon piece is your friend.   Some new stuff...

Hey y'all, I've been pretty much caught-up in a frenzy of various things going-on in my life, so...hence the absence since July or August (not that anyone noticed...*sniffle*...the curse of being a former lurker). Anyway, I've got a swarm of new (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

Hey, Excedllent work. The detail is lovely. It is a little "potterish" for my taste but just jumps the hurdle into true castle : ) Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (20 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: SOB Tapestry Shop for CCC2

(...) Ha ha! I'd always wanted to do this sort of thinner slate-style of stonework (studs up or down). I'm glad to hear that it had the stealth effect I had hoped for. I like turning a concept on its head. (And, no it didn't have anything to do with (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Hi Samarth, So, you're a Lego guy then. Me too. Thank you so much for your kind words. This was a fun challenge to build, I'm glad you liked it.
