  Re: Propeller Box (windmill)

Hey David, I am a fan of lego windmills ever since I built my first one. I really like your filled in "rigging" sails. They are quite original. Good job. Josh (20 years ago, 3-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Tower

I love seeing buildings with so much activity and people on the interior. Nice work! (20 years ago, 3-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Coat of Arms Designer has moved

I am in the process of moving to a new server. As of today, my Coat of Arms Designer can be found here: (URL) has been deleted from the old server, so please make a note of the new URL. Stephen (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Eaglestone Tavern

(...) Lenny, This is cool, a nice comfortable tavern. I think I'm going to borrow your trifold idea, too. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Eaglestone Tavern

Hi Lenny, I really like how this opens up. It provides better access to the interior and makes it much easier to 'play'. I like the interior details as well. You have just the right amount of clutter. Keep it up! James (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Tower

(...) Thanks! (...) Yeah, this and the executioner are not really "set" creations. That's why I qualified the "set" goal with *most* :) I had to do some sort of great tower/keep, which doesn't lend itself to being an actual set. James (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Tower

(...) Excellent detailing throughout! You also made very good use of the rock-patterned wall panels- just enough to add some variation but not overwhelming. I think you missed the "could be a set" goal for this particular alphabet project model, but (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Old Man's Hut

(...) Hey James - that is a pheasant being roasted for dinner. Thanks for the kind words! -Lenny (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Great Tower

(...) Beautiful, Wonderful, Amazing - you have every necessary detail - it all comes together and it all snaps. -Lenny (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Eaglestone Tavern

This, as well as the Hermit's Hut, were down well before PDX but never photographed - this one was done as an experiment in my 'tri-fold' technique of opening shops. It uses Dan Siskind's idea of roof peaks for a seamless roof that can open, but I (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: Old Man's Hut

(...) Beautiful! The hut has an elegant shape with attractive colors, and is well detailed. And the hermit has a bed, a table, and a dead bird on a spit. What else does anyone really need? (2 URLs) AndroDan>> Tony Hafner (URL) www.hafhead.com> (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Old Man's Hut

Hey Lenny, Cool hermit and house! A must for any village. Is that bird a pet, or dinner? :) James (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Great Hall

(...) Thank you. (...) Perhaps on my next moc I can try some snot experimentations for small windows to use in these situations :) (...) Yes, the plaster work took the most time and pieces. I had to search for white plates and was constantly running (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Old Man's Hut

(...) Hi Lenny, I like this new hut. The figure looks like a hermit. His hut contains a small amount of tools and furnishings for a simple lifestyle. I could definitely see this hut tucked away in the middle of a forest somewhere during medieval (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Hall

(...) Ben, this is an excellent build. I'd have to agree with Marc that the castle wall with no windows is plain, i think at least one would have been fun. I do enjoy the plaster walls - something I'd never do b/c of the piece usage, but it is cool (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Hall

(...) Hi Marc, Thank you for your comments. I am really pleased with the plaster work also. The wall doesnt have windows because it is an exterior castle wall. A tapestry may be appropriate here because that side of the room is very plain. I was (...) (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Old Man's Hut

After reading -Siddhartha- a while ago, I've been interested in the theme of the old, enlightened hermit. And here's my Lego hermit: (URL) -Lenny (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Great Hall

(...) I really like the interior walls and ceilings. The plaster over the stone looks great, as do the beams on the ceiling. But the walls without windows look a little blank. "This is a castle, isn't it? There are (URL) tapestries>?" Marc Nelson (...) (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Great Hall

Hi Everyone, I am pleased to announce my latest creation - the Great Hall of a castle. This is a two story structure with the hall on the lower level and living quarters for the castle family above.
