Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) The Dragon Masters were the first Castle sub-theme that I saw as being anywhere near as good as the combined Robin Hood Guys(tm) sub-themes. All of the basic castles just seemed kinda bland to me. Grey walls, more grey walls, grey walls with (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) Five new visors? Cool, and at least one new helmet to boot. Too bad the swords are all the same shape. (...) It's no less realistic than the first Castle set I ever got my hands on. You might remember it. Yellow walls? (...) Every single (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) TLC has plenty of fantasy in all of their product line. IMHO, all of the castle line is fantasy, from it's inception onward. I never saw much realism in the line, more of a child-like representation of what we all dream life of a knight would (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) I'm not part of that "us". I stopped buying Lego when Dragon Masters came out. There's nothing evil about fantasy Lego castles, but I am not interested in fantasy Lego castles. Note that the first fourteen years of Lego castles were (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) Perhaps not. But there is always LEGO Direct. I have been having a great building experience with the Legends and MOC product, the bulk accessories, and the overwhelmingly good building material found in the HP sets (Frequently on clearnce!). (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) My presumption was the Jake-supplied photos were simply not the final product, and what you say on the box art was at least very close. Pretty much confirmed by this: (URL) From the tiny box art, I was unsure if there was anything but one new (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

I mentioned this before. Looks like I was right. In the comic book that comes with the big knights it shows the castle being taken over and 'turning' red. Means some sad people (probably me included) will buy 2 :) -- James Stacey ------ (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) The rule of thumb is that when you see two different versions and only one of them uses completely new pieces, the one that doesn't is just a preliminary model that's put together while they wait for prototypes of the new pieces. Also, when (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) So, which is the true version? i prefer the Classic-Castle version. maybe exists the others sets with right colors and not rainbow armors :) LBaixinho (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) You are correct Brendan. The CC members noticed this discrepancy right away. I asked Jake and he said they were most likely prototype pictures. It is interesting to note the change of 8778 from a large spider to spikes made from spears. Ben E. (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)
