Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) 'Xactly! ...This is gonna be great. I'm so happy to see this come about!!! Wonderful things will evolve in the future from this. --==Richard==-- (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) I think what's probably meant here, and might be helpfull, is a clear view of the wall interface. (The cross-section so to speak) What also might be usefull, is to include some simple information about the Phytagoras mechanism for attaching (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Royal Hunting Retreat MOC

(...) Travis.. this is one crazy MOC. usually i prefer simplicity of design over such craziness, but this MOC has one thing that few castle MOCs have had in a long time -- and it has it in abundance: Innovation Angled walls going up, going down.. (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Instructions? I think it is fairly straight forward, but I can make some if you think there should be some. One of the keys of this standard is that however you make it, it should fit together. I don't want people to think that there is a (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Hey Ben, Well, part of the those gaps can be filled in with trees and bushes - as well as smaller vendors with odds and ends - not to mention they form great winding alleyways! What I love about this standard is that almost all problems that (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Ahh yes! I remember that now! Thanks for the kick-ass suggestion. Good ideas and real innovation are really useful things. Perhaps I should add an authors list of people who contributed the key ideas to the mix... -lenny (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: MOC Preview

(...) Anthony, That's a beautiful piece of terrain that you have modeled there. Any structure you put on it is going to look fantastic. Can't wait to see the final result. I've been thinking about building a castle on a cut-away hill, with a dungeon (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Lenny, it was great meeting all of you guys at my 1st Brickfest. I think this whole idea needed to be done and I have built one walled segment. I am going to modify my remaining walled segments (from 4 Battering Ram sets) to this standard. I (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) I notice you didn't include a 45 degree wall section. I haven't built Castle in over a decade, and I don't have the right pieces handy, but here's a floorplan for a possible 45-ish design (it actually curves a bit towards the center of the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Lenny, First, thanks very much for taking this on and seeing it to conclusion. As one who was part of the roundtable discussion, I am very impressed with what you have ended up with. As we all stated, the standard had to be open enough to (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) Hey Lenny, I'm guessing there will be instructions for these? somewhere? I love 'em, and can't wait to start building lots of 'em too. On a side note - Are there any plans for a standard "standard", for the King and his troops? I'd be (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) This is gonna rattle the Moonbase Project to it's bones! Great job! (URL) Whoops! My loyalties are starting to shift! ;) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

Hi Lenny, I like several things about this standard. The walls are simple and yet conform to earlier LEGO sets. Small scale buildings will fit in the city quite well. I guess we could start creating buildings with angled walls to eliminate gaps (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  MOC Preview

Ever wonder what you and your future spouse can do with LEGO bricks in three days? Here is a preview of a new MOC we're working on, a Keep, inspired by (URL) THIS>. (URL) It's of course not finished. We will be adding a few more green bricks, trees, (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: The Classic Castle City Standard

(...) I'm impressed. And also a bit proud that an idea I suggested to Anthony Sava to improve his original Village of Dahyart, evolved into an important part of the village standard (although I'm convinced you would have come up with the same idea (...)   Re: a last alliance of Elves and Men and Sculpey? (big pics)

Hey Matt, I think you've captured the look and feel of the noble elves and the slightly corrupted humans from the LoTR movie very well(that was your intention, wasn't it?). Nice work! The editing is nice, but the lighting is a bit off. Keep on (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Royal Hunting Retreat MOC

Hey, I love the look of this MOC! It has an irregular and rugged feel, yet is startlingly unique. I can certainly picture it in the midst of some large forest. Nice work! -Ben Harris (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Something I saw in brickshelf from Thomas Rafert

(...) No toes stepped on here. I haven't been active of Lugnet because life has got me so busy now so I try to save all my free time for building. :-) (...)
