  Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Jojo, Thank you, I tried to stick to dark grey for the rocks the tower is built on, and lighter grey on top, but some of those BURPS are hard to work with. I will keep the fog idea in mind, I expect to have many foggy MOCs. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Alan, Thanks, I am going for a Norse feel, though my dialogue comes mostly from reading Conan. I should look for Farfarers, thanks, George (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) Generally sales sites that use Flash offer an HTML-only alternative. And though I have a good connection with all the fixins, I still click that one. Flash is just that—flash. Nonetheless, I like the design of the site (save the pop-up). And I (...) Jeff apparently doesn't know (or doesn't care, but I suspect the former) about conventions here, but the original post, in my view, was appropriate for somewhere in the market.* hierarchy **only**... perhaps market.buy-sell-trade?   Re: Official Website Is Launched!

SPENCER - The handles are round. Look at some of the "detailed" pics. Sales?, unlikely. When I reach LEGO-like status, maybe. Those of you complaining about the pop-up index - Humor me for roughly 30 sec. Imagine you're clicking a button on some (...)   Re: Official Website Is Launched!

In principle I agree with Richard. Why have a portal page that doesn't contain any info except a link to the catalog? I was also forced to change my pop up blocker settings for your page, which I don't like to do. Can you show the catalog in the (...)   Re: Advice for lego Purchase

I agree with David. As long as you don't mind the large castle wall pieces, go for the triple pack. This is an outstanding deal with lots of variety and very few unusable pieces. If you would rather have just bricks, compete with the rest of us on (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Advice for lego Purchase

LEGO Shop at Home also has that triple pack that consists of the new Black Falcon's Fortress, Dan Siskind's Blacksmith Shop and the 10000 Guarded Inn legend for $89 when you buy the 3 together. It's hard to beat that deal. (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) I'm on dial up here, and I can't slam the site cuz it doesn't load. I have the newest flash and 98 too. It starts the loading progress bar and then stalls out. I'd love to see it when it gets changed. (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming.brikwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) -snip- While he could have been more tactful, he is right. The pop-up is annoying, and websites that require the user to have the newest software and/or hardware are poorly designed.   Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) I too like this tower. What makes it come more alive is the back-story you give it. Well done! It has a true-to-Norse-life feel to it. Old Norse behaviour was brought to my attention through the book "Farfarers" by Farley Mowat. It's more of a (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

I am on a Cable Modem and had no problems at all with your site. If he wants to complain, then he should at least show a little more restraint and tact. (...) Anthony, About the only way you can top this is to produce a stop-action animation of this behemoth moving. I'd love to see it move about.
