There's one down the road from my house.. its not made of LEGO tho :) (URL) fire it into the moat as demonstration on festival open days. The shockwave of the boulders hitting the water kill a fair few fish. -- James Stacey ---...--- (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

The first Mobile Medieval Market shop! With Elephant!

Hi All, Here, for your approval, is an idea I have been thinking about for a while. This is a merchant on his way to the Medieval Market. (URL) you can see, he and his servant are loaded up on the elephant with all their goods and baggage. This (...)   Re: Trebuchets

Hallo Jojo, (...) Not that long, a few months only. (...) I see your point. But I believe that the British use the word "catapult" to refer to what Americans call a "slingshot". Children make them from a Y shaped stick and an elastic band, it's used (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

(...) Ah, definition time... (another one for the Castle FAQ ???) As I understand it, a siege engine or siege machine is any large device used for siege tactics or warfare (this includes catapults, ballistae, rams, moving towers, etc.) during (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

Hallo Stephen! Long time no hear... My fault, sorry! (...) I agree 50%. I think a 'catapult' is every (battle) machine that throws things by swinging an arm. I wouldn't call a ballista a 'catapult'. But maybe the German meaning of the word is (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.castle)
