Heh-heh!
You've got it all wrong - the U-1 _found_ the Titanic! Notice the color?
Yellow as in scientific subs, not black/grey as in hostile ones.
OK, I admit there should be more slime etc. on the ship if the picture really
shows the finding - but who cares about realism? The surface should be some
thousands of meters away too, and it should in fact be completely dark, but
then there had been nothing to render...
