(...) Add more lights, reposition the lights, and/or make the lights brighter. Brighter lights can be obtained by using color values greater than 1. I usually create one main bright light source and then add a few dimmer (and often shadowless) (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: New Render

Thanks for posting a link to that file again Bram, I had downloaded that file of yours before and had forgotten about it. It makes the colors look much better, in my opinion. Do you have any pointers for making the rendered images brighter? I seem (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

[FUT cad.ray] (...) Here's a color file I made based on Anton Raves' color definitions: (URL) works quite well, IMO. To use it, include the following line after the QUAL definition in the L3P'd POV file: #include "legocolors.inc" HTH, --Bram Bram (...)   Re: Sprite Wallpaper

<snip> (...) It was probably done via POVRay. I downloaded Anton's Xwing model a while a back and the purple exhaust glow is done via POVRay. I actually used it in one of my scenes. (...) Mark's models now digitized. ;-) (...) Absolutely. The parts detail is superb, just what we've come to expect from Anton. And the exhaust glow is pretty cool, too. Was that done via post-processing, or in POVRay? Cheers, - jsproat (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish, lugnet.cad.ray)

  .dat to .3ds or .obj

Has anyone stumbled across a program (or Max script) to convert DAT files to 3DS or OBJ? There's no hassle converting to DXF first and importing them, just time consuming, and the meshes don't always end up how I envisage them. ie - The normals get (...)
