  Re: Screensaver anyone?

A program called LDView would probably do what you want. It has a full-screen mode and uses real-time Open-GL Rendering. You can get it here: (URL) Calvin Walton (...) (24 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Change background in povray?

(...) The thing with povray is that the standard 3 colors (RED, GREEN, BLUE) have a range from 0 to 1. So if you need "hot" red, you typ in the background RGB code:1,0,0 If you need a darker red you typ 0.5,0,0 and offcourse you can make all the (...) (24 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

I was thinking a realtime render using OpenGL or some such. But I'd be happy with just about anything. -Peter P.S.   Re: Line in MLcad come not over in POVRAY

Thanks fredrik for the tip,i go make new measurements and try it but i think it works because the other guads where nice in povray.Eric (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Line in MLcad come not over in POVRAY

If you're using L3P to convert a DAT file to POV-Ray format, the type-2 lines are simply dropped. You can try to use thin quads in stead. Fredrik (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Line in MLcad come not over in POVRAY

Hello,i have a problem,im using MLcad then L3PAO to create a pov file. But i have drawn a line in mlcad with the add line function and with the add quad function. The quad come nice over in povray using l3pao,but the line dissapear. The lines are the (...) If this separate set of files were straight POV-Ray code, they could be kept in a separate directory, and the translator/renderer could include (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) The L3GO parts could be folded in using this method. (...) In general, the POV definitions are much smaller than the DAT counterparts, so the size increase is menimal. However, perhaps a set of files that could be downloaded seperately and (...) (24 years ago, 4-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) Lutz Uhlman's LGEO library does just this with some exceptions. It is a high quality library of many of the parts from LDraw in POV-Ray. It has a slightly steeper learning curve as compared to using L3P but I would still recommend it to anyone (...) (24 years ago, 4-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) This is a very cool feature, for anyone 'rolling their own'. I'd definitely recommend it for including scanned/bitmap images (like printed tiles), as the POV-Ray versions will be far superior to an BMP2DAT2POV-Ray conversion. For official (...) (24 years ago, 4-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  L3P user primitive substitution

Awhile back, I persuaded Lars Hassing to add a feature to L3P. I wanted the ability to substutite POV language commands in the comments of a .DAT file that could be used in place of the DAT primitives when rendering through POV. This would allow (...) (24 years ago, 3-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Screensaver anyone?

  Screensaver anyone?

Has anyone made a rendering engine that could be set up as a screensaver for Windoze? It would be SO COOL if my FLL team could have their robot rotating around the laptop screen at tournaments... Thanks! -Peter Coach, FLL Team #1096: The Unibots (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)
