FYI, I have had MLCad and the parts library on a 100 MB zip disk, and have
used it successfully. As has been mentioned, every time I open the program,
the settings are at default, and I only once had to specify the Ldraw base
path. But if the CD is non re-writeable, perhaps everything would have to be
changed each time. The ideal would be to have a re-writeable CD... On my zip
disk, at the top of the directory structure I created a shortcut to
mlcad.exe, so all I have to do is open My Computer, select the zip drive,
and double-click the shortcut.
I would *think * POV-Ray and L3P could run the same way, but I have no
empirical evidence.
Hope this helps,
