Re: Need Help with Dat files not being found

Update I downloaded the complete update for the parts. I extracted the file into the parts directory. Running mklist.exe returned a new parts list. However, the parts needed are not in the complete.exe. I took a look at the official parts list which (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Need Help with Dat files not being found

(...) Jeff, The plan is one that I found on the lugnet train board for a motorized switch box. I can't remember how old the plan is but I'd say likely about a year as the thread of messages were fairly old. The parts that are listed as not being (...)   Re: How is this created?

(...) When you convert a .ldr/.dat file to a .pov via L3PAO/L3P by default L3PAO put a floor plane in your model. That is say you render a 2x4 blue brick. If you look athe the POV code you will notice at the bottom a section of code that says (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: How is this created?

(...) Small tip: when using Powerpoint (or any other Office application) convert the LDR without a floor and render your pictures as PNG with Alpha channel. That way everything but your model wil be masked out so that when you place it on a coloured (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: How is this created?

(...) I don't think THOSE building instructions are ALL that. The 'cartoon' version that MegaPOV produces is MUCH better at allowing you to see the different pieces that are being added to the model in each step. See any of by building instructions (...) I would suggest that you buy Jin Sato's book - (URL) he has a chapter explaining how he makes instructions. There is lots of other stuff, it is a good book. (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  How is this created?

Hi, I was looking at Jin Sato's website and found a listing of building instructions for some of his models. The link: (URL) have just started learning MLCAD and was wondering if it could be used to create the building instructions like the ones on (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) first of all, which "plan" are you trying to open? If it is very recent, there may be many parts in it referenced that are not part of the OFFICIAL Ldraw parts list. Having said that, have you tried to down load the bulk of the "unofficial" (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Need Help with Dat files not being found

Hi, I'm new to Ldraw and MLCAD. Basically trying to help the father in law get a plan from LUGNET. I installed LDRAW and the complete parts library as per instructions on the Ldraw site. I then installed MLCad. I ran the program, scanned for new (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
