Hi,

I'm new to Ldraw and MLCAD. Basically trying to help the father in law get a
plan from LUGNET.

I installed LDRAW and the complete parts library as per instructions on the
Ldraw site. I then installed MLCad. I ran the program, scanned for new parts
and tried to load a plan. I kept receiving messages that the dat file was
not found. I have reran the mklist utility several times and rescanned for
new parts, which did not solve the problem. Next I opened the actual
parts.lst file to see if the part number was in there. The part number was
not, so I got the latest copied the complete list from the LDraw site. I
reran the mklist utility and restarted MLCad. This process did not solve my
problem either. I opened the part.lst file and confirmed that the parts are
listed. However, the parts are not in the parts directory. Can someone
please clue me in? This is probably very basic so please forgive my ignorance.

Tom

(...) first of all, which "plan" are you trying to open? If it is very recent, there may be many parts in it referenced that are not part of the OFFICIAL Ldraw parts list. Having said that, have you tried to down load the bulk of the "unofficial" (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
