Re: Handling of ~Moved to files

(...) Arghl! I guess this happens only with V3.3? I never noticed that with 3.2. (13 years ago, 23-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Handling of ~Moved to files

I just want to inform that MLCad does not handle the ~Moved to files in a good way. If you are asked for updating to newer parts the new reference will be written into your current file, but if there is any transformation this will not be taken into (...)   Re: *** MLCad V3.30 *** new feature request

(...) Well, it's been a while since I've checked, and now there's a forum dedicated to SR3DBuilder, which looks like the best solution by far to what I'm looking for. It still doesn't run on Linux, but that is exactly one of the topics on the forum: (...) (14 years ago, 19-Oct-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  New MLCad basic tutorial

Hi, I can't think of a place more inappropriate for this announcement considering the high talented people visiting these groups. Anyway, here: (URL) find a new basic tutorial for MLCad.   Re: LSynth Rubber Band Tutorial

(...) There's a tutorial in French here that appears to expand on Willy's tutorial. (URL) on the pictures it looks like there are plenty of examples of rubber bands and belts. Have fun, Don (14 years ago, 17-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: *** MLCad V3.30 *** new feature request

(...) LeoCAM had a really rudimentary "snap-to" functionality added to LeoCAD. It didn't work entirely well, and was never entirely completed (as it was an academic proof, rather than an actual attempt to create a functionality). The sources have (...)   LSynth Rubber Band Tutorial

Re: *** MLCad V3.30 *** new feature request

  MLCad.ini 2010-02 Update Now Available

Hi, I just updated the MLCad.ini file accordingly to the latest LDraw.org parts update 2010-02. The .ini file defines (among other things) the parts available in MLCad's minifigure generator. Hi, This is something that's been bugging me for a while, but since MLCAD is free software and very useful even without this feature, I haven't made much of a fuss about it. However, I thought I'd throw it out here so others can comment on it and so (...) (14 years ago, 22-May-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: *** MLCad V3.30 ***

There is a bug in the generated partslist when using a new color. For example when I use a part with color 81 Metalic_Green it reports as Chrome_Black. See: (URL) this be resolved with a change in ldconfig or is a real bug in MLCad 3.30? Jaco (14 years ago, 11-May-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: ML-CAD 3.30 Problem while parts authoring

(...) Oh yeah. I encountered this one the other day too. The angle gets set to a very large number. I believe that the normal/angle mapping only applies to rotations, not scaling and should be ignored when ||R||!=1. Tim (14 years ago, 16-Feb-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: BTW, Dither What Colors...?

  Re: BTW, Dither What Colors...?

--SNIP-- (...) Good thinking. Since the old colours were derived from the EGA colour palette I reckon the dithers would have to be derived from it too. Otherwise you could end up with some very different blends. I like your signature ;) Tim (14 years ago, 12-Feb-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: *** MLCad V3.30 ***

  Re: *** MLCad V3.30 ***

  Re: *** MLCad V3.30 ***

  Re: *** MLCad V3.30 ***

(...) I think Travis' wording may be confusing. Don't use "the old dither algorithm". MLCad 3.30 draws colors 256-511 as *solid* colors. That's better than using the stippling algorithm from previous MLCad versions. (No new/current software stipples (...) (14 years ago, 10-Feb-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
