A new version is available at:
http://www.holly-wood.it/tmp/LDraw_AIOI_2010-03_setup_32bit.zip
This checks if there is a C:\\ldraw folder and if found it looks if it contains
Parts.lst. Otherwise it performs a search for Parts.lst in the user's program
files folder.
If found it warns the user that there might be LDraw already installed and
aborts the installer. I narrowed the search down to program files folder 'cos
otherwise it would also find already deleted copies in the recycle bin.
I've considered searching for LDConfig.ldr instead but opted for Parts.lst 'cos
it would also find LDraw installation installed some years ago.
Let me know what you think.

So that's a fairly good argument for taking a VMWare approach I guess. I DO have a new machine I need to get "render (...) (14 years ago, 18-May-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
