(...) No, the entire minifig cannot be omitted. It is part of the set, and if the decorated element does not exist, the author is to use the plain version of that file and attach a comment in the errors.dat file or in the model itself. -Tim Courtney (...)    (...) What if an element is missing? Say, a hat for example. Submit it the set, including minifig, sans hat? Jeff (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Correct. Allowing mockups would cause confusion and inconsistency throughout the repository. Comment out the parts that do not exist and leave the part blank. -Tim Courtney ldraw.org Project Coordinator (URL) timcourtne ICQ: 23951114 (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
