This is *not* the news all good LCAD-heads have been waiting for, but it is a small step in the right direction. For the past month, I've been working on a prototype for a new Parts Tracker. (...) In the prototype? It's just a simulation -- the submit/upload just copies a file from somewhere on your hard drive to <prototypedir>/active/. (...) If the server is a UNIX server then maybe you can use RCS - I think this change/version control system is implemented on most commercial UNIX platforms and is not difficult to use.
