Re: Model & Scene of the Month voting at ldraw.org

D'Oh! That does it. If John's not happy, I'm gonna have to scrap the whole thing. Not. :-) -- Terry K -- (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Model & Scene of the Month voting at ldraw.org

Aaakk! This is worse trying to vote for the two categories! Before there was often a well done model in a well done scene that stood out. Now there are a bunch of well done models to choose from, and a bunch of well done scenes to choose from. Great (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Model & Scene of the Month voting at ldraw.org

Well, Here it is. I think I have this thing working alright - at least my testing works properly. So give it a go. Choose an area (Model and/or Scene) and vote away! (URL) Terry K -- (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  LDraw setp help

(...) I did not say try MLCad before LDraw. I said try it *instead*. Here's the skinny: LDraw and the DAT file format are the original developments by James Jessiman. They were made in 1996 or thereabouts, before he died. His original editing tool, (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw.org announces new MLCad subdomain and re-organization of resources

(...) What do you mean that I should try MLCad first before LDraw? I am not even sure how to download LDraw, let alone MLCad. I am confused and I need help in downloading this program. I do not program computers very well. Jesse Long (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Current OMR entries question

(...) Good question. I will ask someone. Just FYI, the OMR is not up yet, but it is being worked on by another AFOL. I need to check on the progress for that project, hopefully it will only be a few months before it is online and in working order. (...)   Re: OMR?

Eric, I'm sure the progress is slow, but it is coming. Tim Courtney E-mailed me, Ryan Dennett, and Todd Lehman about some developments... Basically, what's happening right now is that David Jordan is working on writing some sort of code for an (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

LDraw and Brickfest: General summary and comments

Hi everyone!! I'm going to give a general summary of how LDraw happenings went at Brickfest. Right now I'm away from my computer (actually at Bram Lambrecht's in Cleveland) so I can't post pictures and write articles for the site just yet. And (...)   OMR?

Just curious... anyone know how soon an Official Model Repository page will be up? I've been putting together some DATs of sets I have (and submitting them) and it'd be nice to know I'm not duplicating someone else's efforts. Eric (23 years ago, 14-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Next parts update?

(...) We're working on it. Really. As you read this, linux gnomes are working with perl dwarves, creating a finely honed and highly polished automated parts release system. Or something like that. Seriously, there is a light at the end of the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Winner of the MOTM for July 2001

Hi all, The winner this month, by a wide margin, is "The Beast" by Anthony J. Sava III. Deservedly so, I might add. Outstanding job of modelling, Anthony. See it at: (URL) remember, next month the voting will for both Model and Scene categories. See (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Next parts update?

When will the next parts update be ready? It's been over half a year and as a person who has authored a few parts I am anxious to know if they were acceptable or not. I don't know what the current policy regarding new parts is, but it seams that any (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Updated: More Lego wallpaper, please!

One more update, a minor quickie one really, but I'll be out for a couple weeks. Maybe eventually I'll even get a real webpage up with this info! ;-) And if I missed yours and you want to add it to this list, then please let me know. Hey LDRAW.ORG (...)   Re: July MOTM is ready to go!

(...) Another good point. I will add a provision about signing your work for sure. Many people do that and there is no problem with doing so. Thanks Anders for bringing that up, -- Terry K -- (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: July MOTM is ready to go!

(...) It's not just that. It was more of a fairness issue. Some people have sites with pictures up. Some don't. Some may not even have multiple images of what they entered to put on a site. So I thought it fairer if the voting was based just on the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: July MOTM is ready to go!

Terry, Regarding the new rules, I like them, except for the part about not specifying a web address and not providing multiple views. All of my renderings would fit into the "model" category except for this. I like to provide a web link to multiple (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: July MOTM is ready to go!

Hi Shiri, If there is any thought of voting for mine, then vote for one of the others. I've already won twice. I just wanted to enter this to show off some more models. I don't really care about winning. There are plenty of really strong entries (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.castle)
