I forgot to mention in my previous post. Beware the possible DVI resolution
limits of your video card. If you do indeed have an All In Wonder Radeon
(the original, not the 8500, 9700, etc), then your DVI connector only
supports up to 1280x1024, according to the specs page on ATI's web site.
If you do go with the Sony, you can drive it in analog mode at 1920x1200,
but not in DVI digital mode. If you go with the Apple, I think you are
forced to go digital, so I'm not sure it is an option. Keep in mind that if
you drive the Sony (or any other analog & digital-capable LCD) with analog,
the quality will be noticably reduced. On the other hand, a future video
card upgrade would solve that.

DVI-D appears to be a digital-only connectotion. I'm not 100% sure, (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
