"some of that l3lab source" is in the mail for you.
I have sent you my spinning-cube-replaced-by-ldraw-model OpenGL test program
from last summer. I didn't (and still don't) know enough OpenGL to make it faster
than L3Lab, so I gave it up. But you give it a try.
