We'd better call them "Podracer Energy Binders", then. Why? of the 32 total
times this piece is used, half (16) are used as Energy Binders. One fourth of
the time they are cannons, one eighth of the time they are used as stabilizers,
one sixteenth of the time they are used as supports, and the final one
sixteenth they are used as either engine parts or pneumatic pistons (in the
Sith Infiltrator). My point is, they are not always used as cannons. That is
the folly of naming a piece after one use for it. We also can't predict what
they will be used for later. That is why I support a generic name for them.
Besides, I don't think they look all that much like cannons, as that is all in
the eye of the beholder. :)
Jeff
P.S. Another reason to not put them in the space section: only one fourth of
their current uses are in space. The other three fourths of the time, they are
of Land/Atmospheric use. :)
