Optional lines should actually be called "conditional lines." They are used to model rounded surfaces so that the edge-lines only appear if they form the outer boundary of the rounded surface. The geometry of the canopy doesn't match either the con3 or the con4 primitive... right now I am scaling 1-4con4 to create part of the half-cone, and then using it (...)
