[LDAO] Could a few people test something, please?

Hi all LDAO users! I'm working on some new stuff for LDAO (usually true), and I need to know how well it runs on other people's machines (since I'm told not everyone has a PII-450 with 128MB). I've put together small test program for everyone to run (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

!!Additional Notes!! 1. VECCheck will leave two DOS windows hanging out. You should be able to safely close these. 2. The final two reported items, Outdated Parts and Outdated VEC, will always be reported as true. You can't check these, sorry. Steve (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I get: ---...--- Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument ---...--- Could this be because I don't have a vec directory? I have a P166 with 32RAM. While you're fixig bugs, could you do something about the way LDAO screws up (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Oops. Dumb programmer trick. I've fixed this problem, and uploaded a new version. If anyone/everyone could give this a whirl, I'd appreciate it. (URL) Thanks! Steve (26 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Ouch! 30 seconds for the whole thing? Wow. Good thing there's room for improved performance in the algorithms. BTW, have you (or anyone) converted the VEC image files to 256-colors? (this would only affect the "csLoadPictures" steps) Steve (...) (26 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Pentium 166 with 32 RAM, nothing in the VEC directory (I use LDList) (without a VEC directory, VECCheck crashes): 5/10/99 5:39:40 PM VEC.Initialize - csStart 5/10/99 5:39:42 PM VEC.Initialize - csPartProfileWait 5/10/99 5:39:42 PM VEC.Initialize - (...) Give me a break, will ya?. P133, remember? :-/ I do have a significant portion of my VEC converted to 25-colors. I did it several updates ago, but have not maintained it. -- Terry K -- (...) (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
