Hi all LDAO users!
I'm working on some new stuff for LDAO (usually true), and I need to know
how well it runs on other people's machines (since I'm told not everyone
has a PII-450 with 128MB). I've put together small test program for
everyone to run through. If you would, please do the following:
NOTE: you must have LDraw Add-On 2.0.x installed for this test!
Download <http://www.geocities.com/southbeach/lagoon/8641/veccheck.zip>
Unzip VECCheck.exe into a temporary directory.
Run it.
VECCheck will process for awhile, displaying a log of what it's up to.
Finally, it will display 'Done.'.
Post a follow-up to this message, with a copy of VECCheck's message log.
Also provide a short configuration of your computer.
Extra bonus assignment: toward the end of the log, VECCheck will report on
the status of parts.lst, the parts library, and the VEC image directory:
whether any of these are missing or outdated. Try hiding these items, and
check if VECCheck is accurate or not.
Oh, and if VECCheck executes a crash'n'burn maneuver, I'd like to know
about that, too.
Thanks much!
Steve

| !!Additional Notes!! 1. VECCheck will leave two DOS windows hanging out. You should be able to safely close these. 2. The final two reported items, Outdated Parts and Outdated VEC, will always be reported as true. You can't check these, sorry. Steve (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
