Alright!  A new talent!

Your part is well done and complete, congratulations.  This part would easily
be voted in, so my furthur suggestions are just that, suggestions for • improving
your "craft" as a part author.

First, when posting you parts to cad.dat, be sure to set your line width to • the
max allowed by your software (132 for Outlook Express).  A number of your • lines
wrapped, so these lines don't show up in LDLite (they show fine in LDraw).
This creates the embarrasing situation where someone looks at your part and
says "What, are you blind?  Half the handle is missing!"  The hard thing for • me
is to remember to set the width back to 79 before posting a regular post.

Second, as you do more parts, the more adept at using primitives you become,
the better (and shorter) your parts will be.  It looks like you inlined many • of
the primitives you used (to make modifications, I'm guessing).  This is fine
for LDraw, LDLite, etc., but presents a problem for L3P/POV-Ray rendering. • One
of the genuises of L3P is that it converts circle-based primitives directly to
truly round equivalents in POV-Ray.  If the primitives are inlined in the .dat
file, no substitution is done, and the POV-Ray'ed parts end up looking
"angular" rather than nicely rounded.

In your part this will show up mostly in two places, the handle and the top of
the blades.  I would suggest using a 4-4cyli.dat for the length of handle that
is completely round.  You'll still have quads where the handle slants toward
the axe-head, but that won't be a obvious in POV.  For the top of the blade,
you might try a solution something like:

1 16 0 -29 -10 0 -3 0 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4cyli.dat
1 16 0 -29 -10 0 -3 -3 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4cyli.dat
1 16 0 -29 -10 0 3 0 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4cyli.dat
1 16 0 -29 -10 0 3 3 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4cyli.dat
1 16 3 -29 -10 0 3 3 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4edge.dat
1 16 3 -29 -10 0 3 3 -15 0 0 0 0 -60 1-4disc.dat

(This in not to perfect scale--I didn't check the actual length, height, width
of the blade, but it should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.)

Let me reiterate that you did a great job on this part, especially considering
it's your first!  Comments are fine to leave in a model.

Enjoy your visit to the USA.

Thank you, John Van and Terry for the valuable comments. It seems to me that
it worths to incorporate your suggestions into the part. I going to resubmit
it with the suggested fixes.
