OK! Here is it, My second Part.  This is pretty complete.  I haven't
quite figured out how to do optional lines though.  The end of the file
has a list of surfaces that need optional lines.  I'm still working on
this.  I wanted to get feedback from Part Authors on this part.

See discussion of optional lines below.

There is one inaccuracy in the part, where the stud clearance is, if you
look at the underside of the part, there is a strange little squiggle
shape on each side of the clearance.  I got as close as I could measure
the dimensions of this feature  It's not quite right, but I think it
might be close enough to be acceptable (no flames, please!).  Anyway,
since I'm not sure about this feature, I figured I ask the Real Part
Authors (TM) what they thought.

I think that as long as it accomodates studs where they need to go, which it
appears to, and looks close enough, it's fine.

Also Note, that the rounded corner on this piece is a 1/4 circle, but
that I didn't use the 1-4disc primitive.  My justification for this is
that this piece seems to be intended to be combined with 3063 (macaroni
brick) which also doesn't use the primitive.  I ended up using the same
curve as 3063, so that when you stack them, the curve is continuous.  If
this is unacceptable, please let me know.  I don't want to do any work
on the optional lines until I get a verdict on this.

Interesting.  Because of the very noticable difference in POV-Ray when
circle-based primitives are used, I would suggest using the disc and cyli
primitives whenever possible.  Perhaps we should update the macaroni brick to
use the primitive's as well.

0 Optional Lines These Surfaces
0  4 16 10 8 50 10 0 50
0  4 16 17.80 8 49.23 25.31 8 46.96 25.31 0 46.96 17.80 0 49.23

The optional line between these two surfaces would be:
5 24 17.80 8 49.23 17.80 0 49.23 10 8 50 25.31 8 46.96 -or-
5 24 17.80 8 49.23 17.80 0 49.23 10 0 50 25.31 0 46.96 -or-
5 24 17.80 8 49.23 17.80 0 49.23 10 8 50 25.31 0 46.96 -or-
5 24 17.80 8 49.23 17.80 0 49.23 10 0 50 25.31 8 46.96 -or-

If two surfaces are arranged like this:

a -- c -- e
|       |      |
b -- d -- f

then the optional line between them would be any of the following:

5 24 c d a e
               a f
               b e
               b f

Hope this is clear enough to help!

(...) OK, then before I finish this part, could we have a quick discussion on this among the Parts Authors? (1) (...) Big help. I get it now. Thanks :) --Karim [1] "I was not elected to watch my pieces suffer and DIE while you discuss this (...) (26 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
