  Out of pocket this week

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to be mostly offline this week. I'll probably check my email daily, and try to keep up with lugnet.cad traffic, but I'm very unlikely to respond to any Parts Tracker or LDraw.org (...) (...) Only if the cylinders are the same diameter, and are intersecting cleanly - perpendicular to each other, and their axes are intersecting. In this case, use 2-4cyls.dat (or is that 2-4cyls2.dat?) to model the intersection. Steve (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Well, I added an initial go at Martijn's suggested algorithm to LDView (with some modifications here and there), and the results look extremely promising.   LDraw.org at BrickFest 2002

Hi Everyone!! I will be giving at least one presentation at BrickFest 2002, Introduction to 3D LEGO-Style Modeling with LDraw Tools.   Updated and New Rebel Pilot Torso Patterns (Star Wars)

I just posted a revised DAT file for the "default" Rebel pilot torso pattern: "(URL) official DAT file has the wrong color code for the chestplate (unless my copy somehow got corrupted). Hi there, I remember having downloaded something similar, maybe not so complete as the one you are planning to do: (URL) hope this link is correct) Would your poster have better visibility for the smaller parts? My thought was that it would be great to have a big poster (or a few posters) that one could hang up around their work area in order to provide a once glance reminder of all the parts out there.   Visual part database idea

Hi all, Jake McKee e-mailed me with a idea; a poster with all the dat-parts rendered in POV-Ray with part number and discription on it. I thought, "Wow, that would be great but how do I get 10.000 parts (yes I know now, it is "just" 2500) on a (...)   Stickers in LDraw?

Have we come up with a viable way to represent decals/labels/stickers on parts? And what's the minimum thickness a part can have? Could we make a "label" piece that's 80LDU's wide by 24LDU's tall by, say, .25 LDU's thick? Thanks in advance! Dave! (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
