Re: Storage and Display of OMR Files

(...) Nah, why go through all that work? -- just embed the directory name into the zipfile. I'm a bit rusty on pkzip (I use tar these days) but essentially: pkzip xxxxz-yy.zip sets\xxxxz-yy\*.* which is analagous to tar -cvf xxxxz-yy.tar (...)   Re: OMR Newsgroups for submission?

  OMR Newsgroups for submission?

It appears that discussion on the OMR has died down a bit. Since I've received mails from a few people who want to submit to the OMR, I think its time to make a decision on this. We did entertain the thought of having newsgroups which handle dat (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: 6246f: Minifig Oilcan

(...) Maybe just MinifigTool, MinifigAccessory, MinifigWeapon? (...) That's the rub. If there were a makelist which sorted on category, then we could use more logical partnames, and put our goofy category/sorting language in a 0 Category statement. (...)   Re: 6246f: Minifig Oilcan

(...) OK. I will do it. (...) I'm not keen on those specific names, but I'm OK with the idea of one-word categories. Do we need to stick with the idea of 'category = first word in title', or can we move on at this point? I think the only programs (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Parts with odd angles

(...) I'm probably stating the obvious here, but... Please also include the coordinates for the pivot as well as the angle. You may now freely deduce how many times I've burned myself on this simple concept! :-, Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw Parts Update 9905

(...) instead (...) Yup, I'm having trouble, too. I got to it when Update 9905 was released, but I haven't gotten there since. I access it at work in Maryland; haven't tried from home yet.   #ldraw IRC Channel

I have set up the channel #ldraw on the DALNet IRC server. Its in working order, except I haven't gotten it to keep the topic when I leave. But other than that, ChanServ works great. I'll leave it on when I'm on IRC, which is usually in the evenings (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
