Re: 2011/2012 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Call for Nominations

Upps!!! Looks like I was too quick in copy'n'paste. Obviously the subject line should state: 2011/2012 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Call for Nominations Really sorry about that! I mailed the admins asking to correct it. w. (13 years ago, 4-Jul-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: 2011/2012 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Call for Nominations

I suppose it would be churlish to point out that the subject line probably ought to be 2011/2012 nominations? :) (13 years ago, 4-Jul-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

2011/2012 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Call for Nominations

Per the LDraw.org Bylaws at (URL) Subsection 6.03(a), the 2010/2011 Steering Committee should have called sometimes in January for the community to nominate individuals as candidates for the 2011/2012 Steering Committee[1]. But ... it's never to (...) (13 years ago, 2-Jul-11, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.announce)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) You are correct. It's on my list of things to do, but LDView doesn't currently allow an export to be performed from the command line. --Travis (13 years ago, 30-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: What do LDraw dev people use for multiplatform development

(...) I don't mind, always nice to learn something new. (...) I never heard of this language, after a quick lookup on wikipedia it seems interesting. I like the strong typing ala pascal. It's something I miss in C++. (...) Seems very interesting, (...) (13 years ago, 29-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: What do LDraw dev people use for multiplatform development

(...) I know this answer is coming a bit late, but you'll get it anyway. I use Ada as my primary programming language. You can get Ada compilers targeting practically anything from Atmel microcontrollers over SCUD2 warheads to Intel CPUs with (...) (13 years ago, 29-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) I have just looked into the documentation of LDView and it seems that snapshots can be taken by batch but not export. cu mikeheide (13 years ago, 28-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) For what it's worth I wrote a tutorial for batch-filing LDView: (URL) used to create the thumbnails for my site. Admittedly it is a bit out of date but hopefully gets you the idea. w. (13 years ago, 28-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) Yes, LDView can be used via command-line. This is how LPub uses it. The reference is in the help file that comes with LDView. I think the Travis put some stuff in there to mimic L3P commands as well. -Orion (13 years ago, 27-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) OK, I'm going to have to work around this for a while. My problem is that I support a large community of users, with a package that uses LDraw to construct 3D data charts as an add-on to Microsoft Excel. Built into the nmacro code is the full (...)   Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) Thx for pointing. I'll check that. (...) Orion and Tim are correct. Conversion should be done via LDView. As long as there is no user friendly interface with L3PAO buggy as it is today: (URL) not going to include L3P. w. (13 years ago, 27-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Getting Started LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 Update Now Available

(...) It also supports other POV parts not in LGEO. And top and bottom include files (although I think the latest L3P does that too). Tim (13 years ago, 26-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)
