RE: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

(...) I really doubt people choose a "~Moved to xxx.dat" part when browsing in LEdit! Why should they? It doesn't have a description, so how would you know what part it is? If people are using "~Moved to" parts, it must be because they thought they (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

(...) I double-checked this, and what Terry says is true for LDAO. Which is good. The bad news is that LDAO simply replaces the old part number with the new part number. It should be doing an inline operation. Steve (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  three wheeler piece

Has any one made the three wheeler peice (or a mockup, i just need the main part not the front forks) yet? I would check the parts tracker but I lost the link. The reason for the peice is this, I found a way to build them up into really cool (...) (25 years ago, 25-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Shell Extension DLL for lcd and dat files

(...) Nope. Won't work. Same error. I placed everything in the zip file in my c:\windows\system\ directory. Went to the dos prompt, CD'd to system and ran the command c:\windows\system\regsvr32 shlext.dll -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 25-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

(...) I like the above groups and follow-ups quite well. You might consider adding lugnet.cad.dat.models.alt (followup-to lugnet.cad). (...) Unless you wanted a lugnet.cad-dat.* heirarchy. Either way works. (...) IMHO the main reason for dividing up (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

(...) Oo. That one gets a big "I don't remember" from me. I am in the middle of re-writing the way LDAO checks & maintains parts.lst & the VEC, so I could easily add some extra code for a moved-to list. Steve (25 years ago, 24-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Shell Extension DLL for lcd and dat files

(...) The error means "One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found". The best option to install the program is using the DOS prompt, here's what you need to type (you may need to change the folder names): 1- cd \downloads (...)   Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

Todd: (...) [...] I think this looks pretty good. It felt a bit wrong to leave out LDraw from the names, but since it isn't the only program handling DAT files this makes sense. (...) Assuming discussions and data are kept together. Would it be easy (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

(...) Welp, it feels nice to move around in, but it SURE feels disjointed from the rest of the CAD stuff, which makes it no fun at all in the final analysis. Cross-linkages could repair some of that, but that's just a band-aid, and it would just (...) (26 years ago, 24-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

(...) I just took a few steps toward implementing the structure above, and while "ld" doesn't look too bad in the ng names, it looks *terrible* when it appears in a URL in the Location/Address boxes of NN & MSIE. :-( Compare: (2 URLs) it's because (...)
