  Re: New newsgroup lugnet.cad.dev

What's the current infrastructure/linkage between L-CAD@LISTSERV.UH.EDU and lugnet.cad.dev? Is everybody now subscribed to both lists? Is there any gatewaying going on? I don't have any preference here--the current situation is a transitional state (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) The Reply button/keystroke should reply to the poster only -- that's how newsreaders work and that's how mailing lists are supposed to work. To reply to the group instead of the poster only, simply use the Reply-All function instead of Reply. (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) (Guess posting from e-mail isn't going to work without a lot of effort on my part since it isn't being passed with reply-to's set to the group. Oh well, I can still archive posts.) Unless, of course, Jacob didn't host it and we needed to get (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Tim: (...) At the moment I can't even get sendmail to work. :-( But if I get sendmail to run, and if I can get an OK from my network administrator, then the answer is yes. Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@risoe.dk -- -- Web...: (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) How would you classify a Blacktron I prisoner pod? The exactly same sub- assembly is used 6 times in 5 different sets. It's not really set-specific, but it's certainly not a part, right? I'm not trying to be difficult, I just wanna understand: (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) You're not going to beguile me with your fuzzy-logic thinking here, mister! ;) If you crank the zoom up high enough, every line is blurry. In this case, my feeling is the line is pretty clear. It's almost always obvious whether an assembly of (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

Terry Keller: (...) I don't think it would be possible to have ldraw.org point to my server, but I could have a word with our network administrator. Jacob PS: There are only 2.7 Gb free on hugin (and I need a bit of it for my work). ---...--- -- (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I would suggest if you're going to be collecting that you ask people how much they are donating and tally it up so you don't get over the amount.. My $.02.   Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) Yep. If it boils down to it, I am willing to handle the fees, as long as I know for sure who is sending what first so I don't get over-donated to. :) I want exactly $70 and we can worry about $35 in 2 years.. 1) its not as much $$ and 2) in 2 (...)   Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) Thought provoking.. (...) That poses a problem. (...) Would an inlined model or an mpd posted to the group help?? I know people would have to download an mpd to run it through file splitter, and I'm not sure exactly what an inlined model is, (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Proposal for Revised Memorial

(...) Ok, lemme try again from a different angle... The distiction I meant was that a distinction is hard to make. That is, if there were an area for "sets" and an area for "elements," it's hard to draw the line (in a few special cases, but not in (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
