  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) If you turn snapping off, it's 0.01 cm or 1 degree but you can set any value using a dialog box. Leonardo (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) That doesn't work because if you have for example 2 1x1 bricks above each other, you would change the diameter of the stud and the hole in the brick by the same amount. Leonardo (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) But how can the program know if a face from a piece is inside another piece ? I've been only testing for intersections between faces. Leonardo (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

(...) heya, Jeff. :-) Not any formal document. (1) But I do have one _very_ important suggestion: Do NOT use BMP2DAT for transforming bitmaps to ldraw code. It was a nifty little tool when first introduced, but it does not produce acceptable (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

(...) Jeff -- Please don't send anything to Jonathan Wilson. He has proven time and time again here that he is unwilling to create quality LDraw parts. You can peruse the history of this newsgroup, particularly in the past week, to draw your own (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: part: brick 1 x 2 with arm 2F

Jonathan wilson: (...) I mean that you should not have referenced ARM1.DAT in a file purporting to represent part #30014. Granted, ARM1.DAT is the least incorrect of all subparts that you could have referenced, but it is still incorrect. (...) No. (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lugnet.cad.dat heirarchy

(...) I like those. I think "sets" is a lot clearer than anything containing the letters "tlg", especially when placed alongside "parts" or "elements" and "creations." It's also nice and short, easy to type. :) OK, let's summarize all of the (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] TLG Models

I think that this would be a good idea, just like it would be good to have a lugnet.cad.dat.part newsgroup so that people only wanting to see models wouldn't have to get part posts on cad.dat. I am NOT speaking of myself. There are a million(well (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings

(...) Always a good idea. Heavy on the hd space, but a good idea. (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings

(...) I always have difficulty remembering exactly how I made an image, so it's often difficult to add more later. Why don't you carefully document how you make the images so you don't have the same problem? I would also suggest saving a Photoshop (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
