  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

i think my brothers friend has a raised baseplate... i will possibly try and borow that. (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: part: brick 1 x 2 w/ pattern, technic pin long w/ bush

with the pin long with stop bush: none of the other technic pins fit into a beam either... i think it is something wrong with the positioning of the primitives (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

when i said i was lousy. i ment at the formulae, not the basic math. i do not know enough to write a renderer or anything but i know enough to be able to figure out the right sizes of quads to put in to my parts. i did get an A in maths for my TEE (...)   Re: baseplate 32 x 32 road curve with road pattern-9 studs

i am now using the ldraw circle creator program i wrote. the laest incantations of my parts are accually looking better. (...) thanks for the idea. i think i will pick the raised baseplate first, as that is the part i have already worked on the (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: part: brick 1 x 2 with computer screen and buttons pattern

(...) do you have one you can scan? (...) thanks for the tip. i think i will post more of my ready for vote parts to get feedback as to which ones are realy ready. (...) at that scale the square i have used for the part is the best i can get and not (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: part: technic pin long with stop bush

i used the peg primitives so that is not my prroblem, i do not think. are you talking about the little ring around the end that helps hold it in place? (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

swuid cache is the proxy server that they have at my internet connection (murdoch university). i pulled the roadplate files off cad.dat yesterday and they are most definatly not the same roadplates i currently have in my parts folder. (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

usually what i do is have ledit open on the part as well as a text editor. i edit the part mostly using a text editor. some things like studs are easier positioning using ledit. i have checked the parts in ldlite as well. i even looked at with (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

all the lines that need to be there are there. there are no lines on the underside but i thikn that i can do that if necessary. (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

Ben Vaughan & all: I am interested in making a Shockwave Flash version of ldraw.org to give it a little spice. Ben, you use shockwave on your marsbase site, and I am confused on how to create things in shockwave. I have visited Macromedia's website (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: baseplate 32 x 32 road curve with road pattern-9 studs

(...) be (...) you (...) I can see that it doesn't make up for the attitude, but that doesn't mean the attitude is unforgiveable. It is obviously your choice to forgive Jonathan or not and that is totally up to you (but is reccommended). This issue (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: part: brick 1 x 2 w/ pattern, technic pin long w/ bush

(...) I have centered some of my mockup parts by creating a model that inludes only that part. Then using LDAO, I inline the model and the dummy model becomes the part itself, but this time is centered! :-) Laurentino Martins (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

In lugnet.cad.dev, Todd Lehman writes: <snip> (...) Hrmmph. Todd, I understand what you are saying, and I suppose there might be a problem with the submittal process (I've had some problems with it also you might remeber), so I'm willing to let that (...)   Re: part: brick 1 x 2 w/ pattern, technic pin long w/ bush

[followups set to lugnet.cad.dev] (...) Whoa. Wow. Yes. That is frightening. I don't have any more of these 3L Friction-Peg/Stop-Bush combo elements left (sold them all) to compare to Jonathan's drawing, but I do remember, now that you point it (...)   Re: [ldraw.org] TLG Models

(...) Do you mean an ldraw.org-specific newsgroup? If so, then perhaps a more meaningful name might be lugnet.cad.dev.ldraw-org or lugnet.cad.ldraw-org? Whether it would be appropriate is probably simply whether it would help focus the discussions? (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

(...) Jonathan, Please try not to take this personally -- and realize that this is only one opinion -- but if you are unable to get parts right even *with* real LEGO elements in hand, then IMHO you really should consider giving up on LDraw, or at (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Multilanguage support for ldraw.org (Was: Re: Ldraw.org...)

Hello, I would be pleased to help for the French translations. But I lack time to do more: I can't take the multilanguage area. Sorry! bye jp (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: baseplate 32 x 32 road curve with road pattern-9 studs

(...) Ben, Just a side note -- it recently came to light that part of the problem in Jonathan's parts might be related to .cad.dat posting problems -- at least things like missing studs...still gathering info. This probably doesn't affect the (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  [ldraw.org] TLG Models

I would like to suggest that we keep the discussion of the TLG Model Repository to lugnet.cad.dev. It is simpler to keep the discussion of the ldraw.org site in one place. Todd, do you feel its appropriate to create a new (temporary) newsgroup for (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad)
