Hmm.  Do you have a reserved range of 3-digit part numbers?

Err...  I don't understand this question.  What is a reserved range of
3-digit part numbers?

Some parts-authors have been given a set of 3-digit numbers they can use when
writing parts.  I didn't remember if you had one or not.

If you do, use one number for the flex-tube and another for the
ribbed hose.  For the subparts, use the same number, and append
'end' or 'seg'.  Something like:

aaa.DAT       Technic Flex-System Hose 120LDU Long (open file for usage guide)
aaaEND.DAT    Technic Flex-System Hose End
aaaSEG.DAT    Technic Flex-System Hose Segment

This, however, I understand, but I don't know which number to use!  :-)

Hmm.  Looking at the minifig-bendy-hose parts, it looks like I gave you bad
advice.  The relevant part files are:

750.DAT       Hose Flexible End  1 x  1 x  2/3 with Tabs
751.DAT       Hose Flexible Tube 7L
752.DAT       Hose Flexible End  1 x  1 x  2/3 without Tabs
754.DAT       Hose Flexible Segment Link Section (open file for usage guide)
755.DAT       Hose Flexible Segment End Section (open file for usage guide)
756.DAT       Hose Flexible Segment Center Section (open file for usage guide)

So maybe we should just use a range of 3-digit numbers for these files.  You've
got six tube/hose files, so use the numbers from 75 to 80.  Like this:

75.DAT        Technic Flex-System Hose 120LDU Long (open file for usage guide)
76.DAT        Technic Flex-System Hose End
77.DAT        Technic Flex-System Hose Segment
78.DAT        Technic Ribbed Hose 120LDU Long (open file for usage guide)
79.DAT        Technic Ribbed Hose End
80.DAT        Technic Ribbed Hose Segment

Steve

(...) Err... But 75 through 80 aren't three digid numbers? Anyways, I've sent these files to your partref mail now for submission to a future DAT-vote. Do anybody want me to post them here as well? I can do that, if anybody wants to see them. (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
