  Re: DATHeader New Release

Dean Earley schrieb: (...) Yes, you are right. The last step before writing to disc was to put all in a text box. So stupid. Fixing was easy and should have not rise other problems in this case. Many thanks for your hint. cu mikeheide (17 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  DATHeader New Release

The problem is fixed. Now it should be possible to process files with approx. size by 1.5 GByte. Sorry for the trouble that maybe caused this bug to you. cu mikeheide (17 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Racers Track

I found the Racers track straight as an LDRAW part, listed under "Sports Track 8 x 16 Straight", "parts/42936.dat": (URL) anyone have a file or work-in-progress for the curve, part 42938?   Re: DATHeader ALERT!

(...) I seem to recall it was written in VB? If so, the VB text box has a content size limit of 65K. The only way around this is to work on an in memory string buffer and not store (and read back) the result in the text box. (17 years ago, 2-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  DATHeader ALERT!

Please do not use DATHeader on files that exceed 64k because they will be cut at 64k. I will investigate that problem later. I fixed the problem that I had by mirrored subfiles. cu mikeheide (17 years ago, 2-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts

(...) I see in the stl2dat release notes for version 1.12 an options -o5 (which isn't in the documented options list above) that makes it generate convex optional edges (I think it means concave).   Re: L(EGO)Draw parts

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts

(...) It looks like the program used to convert these was not perfect. I’m bet we just need to add the correct edge-color and main-color to the areas that are green and blue. Gallagher (17 years ago, 27-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts

That's great news. Just out of curiosity, do the green and blue bits have any significance, or are they just random? Since LDView was used for the part images, and there are plenty of smooth curves, it appears that stl2dat did a reasonably good job (...) (17 years ago, 27-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
