  Re: Slope Brick Round

(...) It looks like another CATEGORY is about to be introduced. Steve has added ROUND as a CATEGORY; see (URL) may make sense to start moving all of the round bricks to this category, if that's what this category is intended for.   Slope Brick Round

Following up on a comment by Chris Dee on part 33243 on the Tracker. . . There's this part 500 from the last parts update Slope Brick Round 1 x 6 Inverted The first mysterious thing about this name is that it starts with "slope", but then proceeds (...)   Re: Updated Part: 700.dat - Brick 10 x 20

(...) Actually this might be faster for rendering. If you use a display list (or similar construct) for each subfile you'll be using less display list memory overall, which might lead to faster rendering. If your renderering time is constrained by (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Updated Part: 700.dat - Brick 10 x 20

(...) One other thought: every time you add a subfile, it takes time for the renderer to render it. So every call to your 4-stud primitive is going to process more slowly than the equivalent 4 lines encoded directly. So if an added subfile only (...)   Boat Weighted Keel 2 x 8 x 4

Has anyone ever attempted to make this part? (URL) for instance in (URL) am boldy trying to make this, but it is very difficult part. I think my version will be a mock-up. Jaco (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Updated Part: 700.dat - Brick 10 x 20

(...) Well, that's 3 lines per instance. It takes 3 calls of a group of 4 to get to the same line savings as the group of 8. And 1 x 4 and 2 x 2 groups are common enough to get at least 7 lines saved. In the 700.dat you posted, just using 1 x 4 (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Updated Part: 700.dat - Brick 10 x 20

(...) I've been thinking about groups of stud3 and stud4, but found it not too commonly used as the stud.dat. Baseplates for example have no bottom studs. There is also a little problem with the odd numbers - four top studs corresponds to three (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Updated Part: 700.dat - Brick 10 x 20

(...) <SNIP> It looks like there could be significant use of stud4 groups as well. I'm also thinking that 1 x n rows of stud2 and stud 3 could be useful. Not as high in demand, but the stud4 groups would be really nice. (The version of 700.dat (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

some znap parts in ldraw format

Hi! In the first half of this year I worked on a project to make mockups for some znap pieces. Here is the link to a page with more information and the parts.: www.tu-bs.de/~y00076...appart.htm The parts are good enough for what I wanted and I have (...)   Train Weight 73090

Hi all, Just noticed there's 2 different versions of this part, see my comparison pic (URL) my new ones seem to be the top type, with base that looks like 2x6 plate. Older versions seem to be the other type, which looks like 2 1x6 plates, and is the (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Part 298c01

To the best of my knowledge, part 4593 (Lever Small) has only ever appeared in black, gray, white, and yellow. This suggests to me that part 298c01 should be renamed ". . . with Black Lever"; it also suggests that c02,3, and 4 could reasonably be (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
