  Re: 6246f: Minifig Oilcan

(...) This sounds like a good idea to me too. Centering it on the handle makes it easy to use in most cases, as I assume most will have it either attached to a minifig hand or to one of those 1x1 plates with clip, say. Too bad that the power drill (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: My first part

(...) Thanks. You've saved me some potential frustration there. (...) What happens if there are two patterns with unknown official numbers? "4150p??" and "4150p???" ? (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: 6246f: Minifig Oilcan

thanks. i notice that you are trying to ldraw every part needed for the x-wing you possibly can... keep up the good work. now, asside from the minifig parts all we need is the death star slope. (25 years ago, 13-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  6246f: Minifig Oilcan  [DAT]

This completes the 6246 ring of minifig tools. I'd like input on where to center this. My preference would be to center on the handle, with the whole thing tilted so that the handle fits upright in a minifig hand. This would be different than the (...)   Re: My first part

(...) The problem is, you can't simply specify the background as a complete disk. You actually need to lay out the quads and triangles and primitives to build the background to fit around the foreground elements. In most 3D graphics systems (LDraw (...)   Re: My first part

(...) Yes I did. Your comments are very helpful. I'll get started on them right away. (...) I tried that at first, but I kept getting some wierd overlap effects: some of the pattern would show, other parts wouldn't. I figured putting them at (...)   Re: new part: baseplate 32 x 32 raised with ramp

(...) I don't think it is necessary to round the edges. Besides, the first version did not have rounded edges on the pit. (...) Some lines that need fixing: When looking at it from above, the edges are angled, not straight. From the sides, the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: My first part  [DAT]

(...) The post seemed to come through fine. And your approach to making a part (at first blush) seems ok. I'll dig into the code in a minute. BTW, this is a good first part. The following comments are more at length than I normally make about new (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 9v battery box small:almost complete version

Some notes: 1. Don't hard code the box black. There are many colors of this piece. I personally don't own one in black. I do, however have a red one, a yellow one, and numerous white ones. 2. The Button should be a separate file, so it can be (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
